AT LAST SHE IS FINALLY HERE!
yes im back and she is here, sorry to keep you all in suspense, things have been hectic this last week.My baby is a week old today I could cry!
She was born Monday the 15th of March at 3:29am...
All day Sunday I had virtually no labour pains so I spent most of the day sleeping. Come Sunday eveing contractions started, I was aching pretty bad so i went up to my Mums girlfriends to use the bath (we dont have one)
I spent over and hour in the bath and my contractions were 3-4 minutes apart for a while so we decided to go to the hospital I was hoping and praying it was the real thing, but I was too scared to get excited in case it wasn't.
So we got there and my contractions went back to 5 minutes apart (they were 2 mins apart on the way there!) and the midwife checked me and I was 4 cm dialated, I was so excited that things were FINALLY happening and that I was so far dialted already! SO I jumped in the bath tub there and laboured in there from 9:30pm till about 12:30. I got out at 12:30 and decided I wanted to try the gas to take the edge off things, but I only used it for half a contraction and it made me feel ill and woozy so I gave up on it. I just laboured on the bed for a while with no pain relief and then I was like "Uh i think I want to try some pethidine' and the nurse checked me and I was 7cm dialated and we she checked my waters burst everywhere LOL I was like 'Oh did I just piss on your hand?" and she laughed. I was too far along for pethidine.
Next thing you know my contractions are 1-2 mins apart fairly painful but I coped by just breathing and really focusing, then I was like 'I gotta push!' so she checked again, I was 9cm and the last cm was ready to go too. SO I pushed for 40 minutes and out popped Leeara Faith.
IT was nowhere NEAR as bad as I thought it would be and I am so proud of myself! NO pain relief and I only swore 4 times and not very loudly, I was quiet pretty much through my whole labour and delievery.
I filmed it, of course and took ozens of photos, but my gold membership has run out, soo I'll find an image host for you all so you can see what my baby looks like.
